A chaotic scene unfolded in Pine Creek, Delaware on Sunday evening when an SUV crashed into two homes in the 4700 block of Mermaid Lane. The SUV first plowed through the corner of a house, striking two vehicles that were in the garage on a lift. The vehicle then continued on, hitting a neighboring house.
Fortunately, the driver of the SUV was taken to the hospital for treatment and is expected to recover. The incident caused significant damage to the two homes involved.
Investigators are still working to determine the cause of the crash and whether any charges will be filed. The community is in shock over the unexpected turn of events in their typically quiet neighborhood.
