Delaware Beats Baseball Team 7-4

The Saint Joseph’s baseball team faced a tough 7-4 loss to Delaware at Smithson Field on Tuesday afternoon. Evan Bouldin’s first-inning single put Delaware in the early lead, with three more runs coming in the third inning. The Hawks started to make a comeback in the fourth, ultimately tying the game in the fifth with a three-run surge. However, Delaware regained the lead with a run in the seventh and two more in the ninth, securing the victory. Despite getting the tying run to the plate in the ninth, the Hawks couldn’t complete a second comeback. Carson Applegate led the Hawks with two hits and two runs scored. Dylan Bryan earned the win for Delaware, while Luke Parise took the loss for Saint Joseph’s. Looking ahead, the Hawks will host Richmond for a three-game series starting on Friday, with the first pitch set for 3:00 p.m. at Smithson Field, and the game will be streamed live on ESPN+.
