The Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition will be hosting its 27th annual Breast Cancer Update, ‘Breast Cancer: The State We’re In’ on May 14 via Zoom. The keynote speaker, Dr. Scott Siegel, will discuss Delaware’s high rate of Triple Negative Breast Cancer among black women. The conference aims to shed light on the importance of early detection of TNBC, which is often harder to treat and more aggressive than other forms of breast cancer. Sessions on genetic testing, screening recommendations, and survivorship will also be included. DBCC emphasizes that early detection leads to better outcomes and hopes to inform communities about the importance of regular screening.
