Company warns that Gerber teething sticks are still on shelves despite recall for choking concerns

Despite concerns over choking incidents, recalled and discontinued Gerber Soothe ’n’ Chew teething sticks are still available in stores and online. The strawberry apple and banana teething sticks were initially recalled in January after reports of choking, with at least one emergency room visit. These products were distributed nationwide and consumers who have purchased them should return them to the retailer for a full refund. If the products are still available for sale, consumers are advised not to purchase them. Gerber Products Co. is cooperating with the U.S. Food & Drug Administration on the recall. All lot codes of the recalled products can be identified by their UPC codes. The company apologizes for any concerns or inconvenience caused by the recall.
