The 6th Annual Bridge Competition held by the Delaware Department of Transportation at PolyTech High School in Dover, Delaware, has broken records with a high number of participants. The competition aims to engage students interested in math, science, and engineering fields by addressing real-world problems. This year, 500 students on 161 teams from 29 schools across Delaware took part in the competition, marking an increase in participation. DelDOT announced that there were three top finishers in each grade bracket, who will receive scholarship money donated by the Delaware Bridge Design Competition Sponsors. The event is designed to inspire students to pursue careers in civil engineering or transportation and has proven to be successful in achieving its goal. DelDOT continues to support and encourage students to take an interest in these fields through engaging competitions like the Annual Bridge Competition.
