Concord High School’s all-time goals leader in soccer, junior Audrey Lyons, has been named Delaware Online Athlete of the Week by The News Journal. Lyons, who has been playing soccer since she was four years old, broke the school record for goals scored in a season earlier this year. She has scored 54 goals in her high school career so far, and is on track to break more records in the future.
Lyons’ dedication to the sport and hard work on the field have not gone unnoticed by her coaches and teammates. Concord High School’s head coach describes her as a player with exceptional skill and determination, and someone who leads by example both on and off the field. Lyons credits her success to the support of her family and coaches, as well as her drive to constantly improve and push herself to be the best player she can be.
As Delaware Online Athlete of the Week, Lyons is being recognized for her outstanding achievements and contributions to her team. She is a true role model for young athletes and a shining example of what hard work and dedication can achieve.
