Press Release: Miss Blue Revue Scholarship Program crowns new titleholder
The Theta Mu Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. held its annual Miss Blue Revue Scholarship Program recently at Galilee Baptist Church’s Bobby Taylor Life Center, celebrating the talents and aspirations of young girls in the community.
Little Miss Journee Bershere Jeffery was crowned Miss Blue Revue 2025. At just six years old, Journee, the daughter of Rev. Steven Jeffery and Je’na Jeffery, is already focused on her future, aspiring to be a professional basketball player. Currently a first grader at White Oak Primary School, her hobbies include basketball, softball, gymnastics, and spending quality time with family. Journee was proudly escorted by her father during the coronation.
The first runner-up title went to Little Miss Neema Reign Barr-Pruitt, an eleven-year-old fifth grader at Hudson PEP Elementary School. Neema is noted for her impressive stage presence and a passion for mathematics, with dreams of pursuing a career in acting and professional sports.
Second runner-up honors were awarded to Little Miss Malani Serenity Jones, the five-year-old daughter of Brianna Ransom and Deontray Jones. A kindergarten student at East Texas Montessori Prep Academy, Malani engages in several church activities, including praise dancing and choir. Her aspirations include pursuing success in dance, athletics, or singing.
Participants showcased their talents through performances, modeled career attire, and debuted stunning pageant dresses. The event featured entertainment from the Showtime Dance Routine, led by Ashley Hall, and the Harmony Pirtle Baptist Church Youth Praise Dancers, under Raquel Williams.
