Press Release: Police Investigate Shooting Incident in Smyrna
Smyrna, DE – May 10, 2025: The Delaware State Police are currently investigating a shooting that occurred early Saturday morning in Smyrna, leaving one woman injured. The incident took place around 4:30 a.m. in the 800 block of Clayton Avenue, where an unknown suspect fired multiple shots into an occupied residence.
A 34-year-old woman, who was inside the home, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was promptly transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The investigation is being led by the Delaware State Police Troop 3 Criminal Investigations Unit, and detectives are urging anyone with information or who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
