The Delaware Tourism Office has announced a new passport, Delaware’s Hidden Holiday Gems, featuring nine unique attractions in the state celebrating the holidays. The passport, running until January 6, aims to attract tourists to Delaware’s three counties during the festive season.
The mobile passport will take travelers to three destinations in each region, showcasing intricate holiday displays and off-the-beaten-path attractions. Highlights include Santa’s House on the Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk, Zoo Lights at 3 Palms Zoo, and Holidays at Hagley.
Participants who check in at three locations in a region will receive one of three randomly selected prizes. The program encourages users to explore all of Delaware’s holiday gems.
To access the digital passport, visitors can sign up at VisitDelaware.com and use location-based technology to track their visits. Delaware Tourism Office director Jessica Welch hopes the passport will not only promote local businesses but also encourage travel to lesser-known destinations in the state.
